My Music Philosophy

Music is a gift and world that exists for all of us. Humans are born with the ability to produce music naturally with their voce and they posess an internal rhythm that is with us from the time of our heat-beat's start.

I firmly believe that everyone has the ability to sing, every child should sing, and that music is a part of a sound education for all children. While some may sing better than others, that a certain individual can not sing. Anyone with proper training and guidance from a someone who is soundly trained in music can produce music aurally.

Unfortunately we have a public education system that does not set forth a curriculum that places music as a core subject, equal to math, science, reading, and writing. Recent and ongoing studies prove time and time again that students who participate in academically outperform those who do not, yet in order to cut costs, more and more schools are removing their music programs.

The music community as a whole needs to band together even more and create a strong national curriculum and promote to the educational boards the importance of music in order to promote the survival of music in public schools.
