At Millersville University I received training in choral conducting from Dr. Jeffrey Gemmell. 
In this class we learned the proper techniques for teaching repertoire to choirs, rehearsing, and formally conducting in a concert-like setting.

In 2007, I also conducted Lancaster Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran choirs during several rehearsals and services when the conductor was unavailable or performing other musical tasks for the church during a service.
